Thomas Cole was an American artist that was known for his landscape and historical paintings. His work is also known for its romantic portrayal of the American wilderness. In addition, Cole is known as the founder of the Hudson River School. I think Cole's paintings are beautiful and very detailed. I enjoy the detail he puts into each painting and the history of each painting.
