Edgar Degas

For my midterm, the artist given to me was Edgar Douglas. He was a French artist in the mid to late 1800s. He created many paintings, sculptures and drawings. When i looked up a lot of his work, I saw that he painted a lot of dancers. Although for my midterm project, I am not painting a dancer, my image that I plan on projecting can be similar to his paintings. I plan on projecting an image of myself before my last race of swimming. I feel as though these relate because they are both about the individual being focused on and the detail about the individual, while some of the background in included but the very detailed background may be out of focus.
