Pablo Picasso - Massacre in Korea from 1950

Picasso was the heavy critic of the American war intervention in Korea, so the painting Massacre in Korea is often considered as one of Picasso’s communist works. The artworks possess strong reflection of one of the first paintings of the new age – Francisco Goya's masterpiece The Third of May 1808 from which it derives the political statement comparing the American forces in North Korea with the imperialistic Napoleon army.
