Swallow's Tail

Above is the piece titled The Swallow's Tail by artist Salvador Dali, which was created in 1983. I chose this painting because I immediately thought about music when I saw the designs across the painting. This spoke to me because I played the violin for most of my life. I learned how to play when I was 8 and officially ended at the age of 17. I then read into the history of this piece and realized that Salvador Dali used the cello as the main subject manner. He attributes symbolic functions of sentiment rather than any musical presence. Although this paining lacks vivid colors,I thought it was interesting.
