This piece of art is called the Massacre in Korea by Pablo Picasso (1950). Personally, I feel that Picasso displays a very accurate image of the horrific brutalities during the Korean War. I love how Picasso openly depicts civilians getting killed by anti-communist forces as many heroes just stood there and mocked the firing squad. I really like the art style and the way the soldiers with the weapons look. I am also a huge fan of the overall message that Picasso is conveying. Political art is an excellent tool to use to not only remind us of the past, but to also remind us of the diverse political views there are as well. I am eager to see what other political art Picasso has in stored.
