Political Art

This piece of artwork is called “The Problem We All Live With”. The artist of this painting is Norman Rockwell. Rockwell is addressing racism in America during the 1960’s in the south. The little girl in the painting is called Ruby. On her first day of school, she had to be escorted because she was the only black kid in the school. This painting is very important because it is a perfect representation of what segregation looked like in the United States at that time, even a small innocent girl has to face the ignorance of segregation.
