Political Art

This mural was created by an internationally famous graffiti artist named Banksy. Many people in Southern England viewed this artwork as racist and offensive, yet no one knew who initially did it. With all the controversy it stirred up, many of the political council men started to take offense to it. They viewed this artwork as racist and offensive. Many others became defensive and embarrassed. Overall, with only a couple days away from the election, officials decided to have the mural chemically removed. Shortly after, Banksy posted this mural on his website claiming ownership and displaying his latest piece. Once everyone noticed who the piece belonged to, many people became flabbergasted, embarrassed, and ashamed of removing the mural. Banksy, had no further comments on council's and officials' actions.
