Jay McClellan's studio is located in Philadelphia. He got the inspiration to start painting dogs when his mother passed away because dogs are what makes him happiest. At first he would only paint his own dogs against wallpaper like backgrounds, now he is the go to guy in Philly to have a painting done of your cat or dog. Most of Jays paintings are done in his home because he thinks a studio is very distracting. Almost all of McClellan's paintings are of a dog that is big and in the center of the painting and in the background he paints a very bold colored pattern because he wants "to create exciting visual combinations."
