This contemporary piece by Peter Kramar titled, "Police Brutality" is one I find very interesting. I feel as though this artwork speaks to the current epidemic in the United States of America regarding police officers using excessive/lethal force during traffic stops and arrests. I believe Kramar illustrated the vulnerable American population as the pinata. A pinata is an object that is intended to be hit and beaten. Pictured in the piece, the three police officers are wearing highly protective equipment to demonstrate the hierarchy of power believed to be currently held by police officers.
