Vik Muniz was a talented artist who made a persons trash into beautiful art work. I chose this artwork because it was so eye catching. I love how the colors pop next to one another. The art work above was just one of the many postcards he made in his series called "Postcards from Nowhere." The name of this artwork was "West Palm Beach" and if you look closely this art was made out of vintage postcards that Muniz collected over time. Muniz made cheerful postcard imagery, which suggests the idea of a vacation with exotic animals. I find it so amazing that he can take any piece of garbage or a food like peanut butter and jelly or chocolate syrup and convert it into an outstanding piece of work.
