The article titled "A Houston Homeowner Is Uncovering a painted-Over Sol Lewitt on Her Wall- but She Doesn't Own It" written by Issac Kaplan explains that a Huston dentist has always known that a Sol LeWitt painting was hidden in the wall of her home. Technically as the article explains she does not own the piece of art work because LeWitt left specific instructions on what to do with the art called "Wall drawing #679." This statement puzzles me, as well as that she does not own the art work that is in her home because why would you leave instructions for your art work if it was originally covered up in a wall in a home that was eventually be sold. I believe that anything left in the home is the property of the owners that purchased the house. As the article reads the women is not trying to sell it but is trying to preserve the piece and not let anything happen to it. If I were the artist I would want my art to be in the hands of someone that would want to treasure and preserve my work and not in the hands of someone who is just trying to sell my artwork for money. Hopefully one day it will be uncovered to see his true talent. The artwork above called Lithograph 1992 composed by Sol Lewitt caught my eye and was very fascinating to me. The different colors that I never would of thought would go together actually look surprisingly well. I loved the star shape he portrays and the different lines that decreased into an actual star.
