The article titled, "A Houston Homeowner Is Uncovering a Painted- Over Sol LeWitt on Her Wall- but she Doesn't Own It", shares the story of how Wall Drawing #679 was painted on a wall in the homeowners home but was then covered when the house was sold. Some 20 years later, the painting on the wall is finally being revealed as a family friend started to unearth the painting. As the homeowner's daughter mentions they don't want to unearth the painting to try to sell it, they want to be able to enjoy the painting. I found this article very interesting and would love to know how they plan to uncover the rest of the painting.
Above is Wall Drawing #370 by Sol LeWitt that is on display in at the MET in NYC. I love the different shapes in this piece and how each time you look at it you feel like you are seeing it in a different way.
