David Hockney
This painting "Portrait of an Artist (pool with two figures)" was created in 1972 by David Hockney. It stood out the most to me because of how well he painted a person while they are under water. I feel that he mastered that part of the painting. There are even two different shades of blues and lines to represent movement of the water. Even the scenery of all different shades of green was beautiful and peaceful. I noticed the background looked a little foggy and creating that effect must have been challenging but I believe it looks great. The man in the red suit is Peter Schlesinger who is an artist and a repeated subject in many of Hockney's pieces.
